Price for buying a horse

Just looking for a bit of advice as to how much i would have to pay and how likely i am to find the type of horse i would like.

15hh min, MW, suitable for a novice as i only started riding again a couple of years ago. something which will do a bit of everything i.e. hack, light schooling a little jumping, maybe go on to a bit of hunting. don't mind what sex but something preferably over 6yrs old so it's got some life experience!

any advice would be much appreciated,

if u dont mind age/looks competition ability - how well schooled just safe 2/3 k
if u want something to compete locally too 4/5k
best bet is too put word round with instructors so u nmight get a bit of hiostory

Agree word of mouth is a good way, make sure that you take along your instructor or someone with a good bit of knowledge to help you along!

Don't forget to look at ads in tack shops and feed merchants or even the local riding school and talk to the people in these places as they often know of something that may be coming up for sale in the near future that may be suitable

A lady at my yard bought a horse from Clip Clop traders, they have a web site, Emma seems to have a good name, and the lady at my yard is over the moon with her horse, or look at Stubley Hollow farm, they do some really nice types. Even just looking at these sites will give you an idea of price and what you get for your money. good luck!

Def put the word out. Trouble is you tend to have more contacts when you actually have a horse (well thats what happened to me)
