Any ideas on what I should offer for my loan horse as I want to buy him but don't know what to offer.. I love this horse dearly and he is perfect for me.. He is 8yrs old Vanner cob but he has ring bone in his fronts, COPD and sarcoids.. Don't know how much to offer as I truley love him but all these issues will cost me in the future.. Any ideas?? Thank you x

thats a hard question to answer really...with all the problems he has , he is probably worth nothing to a normal buyer, bur because you love him, he is worth something to you,so you need to play hard ball with his owners and tell them that you are willing to take him on...for nithing..

Second hes not really worth anything, but if he means so much to you why not offer £500 including all tack, rugs and anything else. Then at least if they agree its saved you the effort of buying new stuff and the cost?

I would offer them the money for tack - I bought my old loan mare who had so many issues it was easier to say what wasn't wrong with her, but I loved her :D I bought her saddle off them.
