The vets I know charge £85 for the use of the x-ray machine and then £18 for each x-ray plate that is taken so varies on how many they take. Hope that helps!
Just as a rough guide, I took my horse to the practise I had pastern, fetlock and hock Xrays done on 1 leg, 2 lots of sedation thrown in. Took 2 hours and the whole lot cost me around £400
I supposed you'd have to add on any sedation and consultations you have on top too! Plus the visit fee is they came out to you! Begins to get expensive.........
We had the vet bring a portable x-ray machine and do 4 x-rays and spend 2 hours at ours and it came to £200...we didn't have D sedated though, vet was imensely impressed with him
