Just out of interest, how much did you pay? I'm based in Central Scotland and looking to get a horse vetted in Fife. Someone told me around £340? Thought it was quite high, but could be wrong!

When I sold my first Horse five years ago it was about £140. I paid about the same price when I vetted her before purchase two years before. That was in Morayshire and I bought her from down near Kilmarnock. Both were a 5 stage. For over £300 does that include x-rays etc? Mine never had x-rays, but she did have blood taken. I don't think they test it though unless there's problems later (ie to see if Horse was doped for it).

I had 5-stage vetting done last week in Edinburgh -it was £200 plus extra 30 for bloods that seemed to be fairly average for the area
