went to local feed shop today, gettin a bag of spillars conditionin mix usually pay 9.60 or there abouts..... today i paid 10.60!!!

so within 2 weeks its gone up a pound! i never realised prices could rise so quickly.

has this happened anywhere else??

i've been buyin it for a couple of months. lol waitin for pay check on friday, even when buyin feed i'm rakin for pennys lol!!!!!

The cost of feed has gone up (apparently) because of the cost of transport increasing - petrol/diesel prices at the pump. Or at least thats what tack shop owners have told me... makes sense, have you noticed how the price of a weekly shop in tesco or asda has gone up?!

i leave the shoppin to my mum ha ha!!!

never knew it could go up so rapidly, but fuel costs is a perfectly viable explanation

Dengie Hifi has gone up twice this year already

There no such thing as economy mix now.

My shavings have gone up three times in the last three months. Feeding three large horses is getting expensive now.

I work in a feed merchants and prices seem to go up almost weekly. My boss trys to keep the prices down as best he can. I dont even bother to remember the prices any more as they keep going up so frequently. Allen and Page went up again today. D & H havent gone up for a while so I expect they will be next over the next couple of weeks!

The cost of feed is going up on a weekly and you will probably see it on a monthly basis. the price of cereals has more than doubled since this time last year. Soya has doubled, minerals have quadrupled. It is disastrous for the farmers at the moment especially the pig and poultry ones. And I do not think the trend will reverse any time soon. Sorry to bring bad news.

On the up side it may stop people from over feeding their horses, now that would be a good thing!!
