Price of hay in essex/london

Our hay has gone up to over a fiver a bale, can others in the essex/london areas give me an idea of what they are paying please?

In South East Essex I'm paying £15 for a large rectangular bale or £3.50/£4 for top quality small bales....
Google Don Dear, not the cheapest but they deliver all over and the bales are huge and top quality.

We have just bought in hay for our cattle that is not horse quality from Dougie Hill he is normally competitiive on price and good selection of sizes of bale.

Try Dougie Hill at Howe Green or Richard at Essex Hay and Straw, both deliver everywhere as to Thorogoods in Chelmsford.

Thank you for your replys, we sort of have our hands tied as yo will not let others deliver, but we can bring own in!

Jessie, PM me as there is a guy near Witham who will let you collect but he only does small bales.

My hay is £3.80 a bale delivered and the local feed shops are selling for £4. Having said that it is possible to get it cheaper, my friend is still sourcing it for £3 a bale from somewhere near Basildon.

I'm in Surrey (so not far from Lomdon) and am paying £40 for a large, rectangle bale of hay at the moment.

im in south east essex and our hay has just gone up to £4.50 a bale, it is good quality, we use Williams Hay, they deliver.

I'm in Kent, we currently pay £4.75 for small bales and £36 for the round bales.
