Price of horse with sarcoids? How much??

A friend of mine is selling a gorgeous registered 4 year old with fab bloodlines, hes coloured and very striking! Hes being broken in at the moment and is an absolute angel, hacking out and showing to be extremley bold/brave etc. Also have a fab pop on him.
How much would you sell him for? He has got 4 sracoids, none are near any tack and there all hidden away very well, he is having them treated atm and one has already fallen off, but im very interested to see what you all think he is worth?
 
Really sorry but (and its not a ref to other thread) nothing at all. All those of us that have owned one wouldn't buy another (I would think). Hope I'm wrong though.:confused:
 
I'd wait until the treatment is finished and then advertise.

I'm not sure any price reduction is needed....

Re Scarymare's comment - I have no problems with sarcoids, dependent on their location and condition. My last horse was purchased with one and I paid no less for him.

I really hope you are right, and obviously if they treat and don't declare then no need for reduction (but a pretty awful thing to do). My only experience was a 'cluster' just behind the elbow so I am probably biased. Trouble is I could go and buy a pretty sensational horse as described above for sweeties in this market and I'm just not sure that with the surplus horses around they wouldn't need to reduce the price. Its just ridiculous what they are going for now.

I was not implying that they should not inform a potential owner that the horse had been treated for sarcoids. My suggestion was merely that (like with any problem or condition) once treatment is concluded satisfactorily then you put the horse on the market.
 
My horse was Sarcoid free when I bought him,but got he one after 4 years of owning him.It was treated and went.Now 2 years later it has NOT returned.Nothing wrong with them as long as treated.ANY horse can develop them!
 
I bought a horse with sarcoids and would again, all depends on where they are for me and although it did bring the price down a bit it was not by a huge ammount
