Hi,

What do you pay and what do you get for you money?

I have found a lovely yard £30 a week for stable, all yr turn out, hay/Haylage, school, lunge arena, horse walker and not meantion lovely hacking.

It also offers grass livery for £15 for my retired mare with arthritis and copd.

Thanks

£25 for rent. Private yard on reservoir, large stables with automatic water drinkers, heated tack room with kitchen+toilets, arena, all year round turnout (24/7 in summer) however not greatest of fields, great hacking.

This does not include haylage and bedding. Which works out about £20-25 a week extra. Now I'm writing this is does sound a lot compared to the one you've found...

I pay £20 per week no facilities but good hacking and 5 min drive from my house! There are arenas in close which hire and also the yard is hacking distance to two showing/jumping venues. :0)

Pay £50 a month, private yard just at start of putting containers ( stables ) and laying road up to stables.
Given leeway as to putting a paddock up around the stables so you have your own area/space to work. Buy your own feed and hay, outdoor arena fine in summer can get flooded in winter, great hacking.

£30 a week inc all hay & straw excellent hacking, paddock to school in, all year turnout 24/7 365 days a year if required. On a private yard that includes feed and turnout change rug in a morning or hay feed and water in a morning. She also brings them in if required for no extra cost. Very lucky it's only 1 mile from home

£85 pcm in East Devon.

DIY with all-year 24/7 turnout if wanted. Lovely big stable. Direct access onto fabulous hacking which, as an endurance rider, is top of my list. School going in later in the year. Parking for trailer. Very chilled, happy horse. 6 miles from home which is fine.

I REALLY lucked out - We are very fortunate.

£130 a month in Sussex\Surrey boarders.

Good AYTO in herd environment, direct access to off road hacking, floodlit sandschool, yard manager to provide assistance and point of contact, individual storage area's and good stabling.

Am currently 4 miles from yard but am about to move to a new area and can only find a new suitable yard 7 miles away. school and nice stable and brilliant hacking but journey puts me off. Glad you dont find 6 miles a bore!

ETA - really lucky, as it is two miles from home with some really nice other liveries (some odd balls too - but for a 45-50 horse yard, there are bound to be a few!)

It can a drag at times, but as I approach the yard through the commons I remind myself of my fabulous riding!!!

Sounds great. I pay 20 a wk and that only includes, stable, year round turnout in fairly poor fields, 24/7 in summer and use of an ok-ish arena, prone to flooding. Hay, bedding extra.

£180 a month for DIY near Pangbourne. Stable, grazing, 2 arenas, horse walker. Great hacking. Big yard so have some nasty liveries to deal with, lots of yard politics and a useless yard owner who won't tackle liveries who break rules. Would love to be on a smaller yard as everyone tries harder to get on.
