Hey all looking for some advice please on pricing a pony show jumper with and without his double clears and qualifications. If anyone can help I can PM details of pony don't want to get in trouble for advertising 😊

Probably the best thing to do is look at the H&H pages and the BS website and see what equivalent ponies are going for. Also speak to your Area Junior Academy coach - they'll know what a suitable going rate is. The good ones tend to change hands without being advertised anyway. But you cam PM me if you want.

I worked for some people last year whose kids jumped semi professionally. They had a 15yrs old 138 that jumped 1.20/1.30 -very genuine to a fence, quite strong and quirky to hack. He was on the market for 25k. And he sold - as a schoolmaster.

A top quality juniors BS competition pony holds its value very well. I've known JAs to go for twice that and more. But the JC/JD market is a little more complex as it depends on the level of qualifications and where the rider wants to be with the pony. And sometimes what else they want to do. For example the Pony Club has just seriously tightened its rues and a pony with too many BS points won't be eligible to compete at Area level etc.

Our 3 BS ponies were JAs, jumped at Hoys etc, one did juniors nations cups. They sold for 45k +
Not just easy the one was pretty fiesty but such a good teacher for their rider!

People will pay a lot for a good pony who will jump and look after their child. You can PM me if you like.
