Slightly pointless post but i'm bored.!
Finally the new boy Pride went in the same field with his brother and Hovis' two field companions this morning.
After lots of booting up delicate legs, attaching neck pieces firmly to protect throats (Note - hovis went in as normal as nothing fits him in the boot or neck piece department!!) the four of them were unleashed..........
It was one of the most boring and civilised intros i have ever seen. Partly due to the thick fog it took the 3 of them 5 minutes to realise Pride was even there. I was impressed that Pride didn't wet himself as the vast shape of the Destroyer hurtled at him out of the gloom!
I also know he's grown up in individual turnout so it seems like he doesn't know how to play with the others. Cue a comedy moment with them all hooning round like loons and him stood in the middle of the field looking a little baffled with a "What am I supposed to do now then?!" expression. It was sort of sad as Hov tried to get him to play "I'm a stallion" and Pride clearly didn't know what to do. They are the same age and the difference in playfulness is huge. Hovis at this point wandered back to me in disgust.
So the new boy is in with no incident - tomorrow Hovis and he are going on a hack together. So fingers crossed this is the start of good things for hubby and his new boy
