Has anyone fed this feed? It sounds good - does it really improve condition quickly tho?

Bit worried that it is the same thing as Winergy which you fed in vasts amounts, only for it to make no difference to condition!

I tried it briefly last year- is good as in the fact that it's all in the bag, natural and very versatile- can be fed to almost any horse however I didn't find a bag lasted that long when fed to big horses so got a bit expensive, and I did still have to feed a bit of extra alfalfa with it as I didn't feel there was enough in it, even though they say that you don't have to- it is very similar to Winergy, just a tad cheaper - I don't feel it is a feed which would improve condition quickly- the best "all in one" type feed I have had one of my horses on, that is good for conditioning is the Falcon Feeds Oat and Barley free mix. I've heard that quite a few people/ big yards use the Primero though and they are quite happy with it!

We feed it and we love it. Because we buy in bulk and it's delivered it works out far cheaper, especially as you need no other supplements. Every horse on our yard is on it - including a 30yold TB who looks amazing for his age, a 2yold WB, the cobs and haflingers and the WB stallion - we just adjust the amount they get according to type and workload.

We were introduced to it by a professional rider who used to be based at our yard - all of his Lusitano stallions were fed on it and he competed at PSG/GP level with them. We were all amazed by their calm outlook and he attributed this to the food. Most people coming to the yard comment on how relaxed our horses are too. The young TBs that came in to be broken all picked up condition on it very quickly without overheating their brains.

In terms of condition - we have to be careful how much the natives and cobs get - we are talking using mugs as a scoop!

This is a picture of my 2yold who is fed on it - I didn't even flick her over with a brush for the photo as she was on her way to the field when I caught her with the camera -

Feel free to ask further questios if you can cope with more gushing about Primero - ps I just feed it, I don't own the company!
