Has anyone read these? Thoughts, opinions...are they good?

Have been recommended them by an American chiropractor/vet but the chap was a bit of an oddity and talked a fair bit of bulls**t so wondering if anyone else had these?

Dr. Deb is very intelligent and does lots of dissecting horses, so knows what goes on under the skin, so I don't think there would be anyone much better to discuss conformation issues. She lectures for vets, farriers, dentists, etc. and her website is a mine of information.

I once went to a clinic, but she wasn't the best riding instructor ever. She was thinking she was teaching a class of clever young students, but we were middle-aged uneducated ladies and had a job to keep up. The theory was fascinating stuff though, and better than the riding really. She expected us to work things out for ourself, we would have preferred if she had just told us the answer because I never did work some things out at all.

She hasn't done a clinic in the UK for some time, although she does go to Australia quite often.

There is lots and lots to look at on the website, although if you do put on a query on the forum expect to be blasted out of the water by Dr. Deb if you are inprecise in any way, and she also assumes that no-body knows anything about horses whatsoever.

Incidentally, it isn't a discussion group, it is her classroom so you are expected to sit and listen. And not argue.

Very well worth looking at though.
 
She is very opinionated, and doesn't like people to disagree with her, but that is more about riding, handling and training. She has had masses of experience with this too, she used to buy up very cheap horses from sales and her and a friend would re-educate and doctor them and sell them on at a profit. She has also taken part in almost every competition there is, including jumping, endurance, showing, so she has got lots of experience.

When it comes to theory and what makes horses work she does know her stuff, so I can't see anything to disagree with her on that subject.

This has been backed up in later years when I have discussed some of the things she said with chiropractors for instance.

But I don't think I would do another riding clinic with her!
