Car has been overdue new tyres for ages so husband went out this morning to sort. They didn't have the affordable ones he wanted, so the ones they did have were going to cost a fair bit more. He phoned me to double check whether he should go with them as pennies are tight atm, and my response was "well just don't forget I've got training sessions and shows coming up which we need pennies for". That tel call was about half an hour ago and it's only just dawned on me that my initial priority was making sure there was enough money for my lessons. Omg (don't worry, the car is getting new tyres)

I was wondering whether your sub conscious was factoring in the life insurance aspect of having worn tyres for a bit longer and having plenty of pennies for lessons/shows…..

We've all been there.

My truck just needed 4 new tyres. I've put off for a while and tried to shop around for the cheapest options - even trying to get part worns to 'tide me over' knowing full well I won't replace until they are in the same or worse state. finally OH has taken my truck to get tyres sorted himself as it was getting a bit desperate.

Please have your tyres up the top of priorities ..... OH is a worn tyre spotter (mechanic) and spotted a worn tyre on a lorry probably £250,000 plus at a show this year.

Lorry tyres are very much a priority. Just put 4 new ones on ours which hurt the pocket a wee bit.

Gosh I sounded very strict! We’ve had a blow out on our lorry - tyre perfectly good to look at and not old so very tyre conscious.

OH has also done the floor in our lorry as I'm paranoid about floors.

True story - mother was wondering whether to get her son second-hand football boots from the school shop or buy new ones.
