I can't find the thread now but someone posted about their struggles with canter - horse rushing, unbalanced or breaking to trot. I had exactly the same issue with Amber and at a recent physio appointment my physio recommended the pro core to strengthen her hind end and get her stepping under herself which would help her balance.

Just wanted to say I've used it for 3 weeks and the difference already is amazing. You can ride in it, and when she is wearing it she is so much more together. Her back lifts, she steps under and she is so much more balanced. Yesterday we were cantering 20m circles over raised canter poles. Something that would have been totally impossible just a few weeks ago!

The improvements have translated through to normal ridden work too - she can now collect in canter without breaking to trot. So finally after several months of struggling with this I feel we could actually canter round a course of jumps now - I have steering and balance!

Just thought I'd share....

Just seen this:

Thought it might be of interest. (I promise I am not on commission!)

Amber has improved hugely using this. Canter was non existent 3 months ago. She would just run on or break to trot. We scored shocking scores for both canters at a Prelim test in September. In December we scored 7 and 7.5 for the canter work. Am thrilled to bits with her and love this bit of kit! I think I'll try it on the ponies too.
