Quick Q for all those who use it... How much is it and how long does it last? My boy is a 17.2hh aprox 650kg at the mo. May have to temporarily swap to it from my balanced minerals - (balanced to grass) as may be sending boy away for schooling while my broken foot heals but Pro Earth seems to be 'away' from ebay so I cant find out...

Ta!

I have Pro Balance and I seem to remember it being between £40-£50 quid - don't quote me on that though.

I started feeding it in about September and I would say that batch will last me until end of April.

Mel and Ross are probably on holiday.

From memory, a one month supply for one horse of Pro Balance + is £14.

I get 3.6kg bags and these last my two for around 6 weeks. Obi has a double dose of two scoops.

If you buy 7.2kg pro-hoof it costs £104.99 plus 9.99 p&p. Feed 57g per day so bag lasts 126 days. Equals 91p per day. You can buy smaller quantities but I don't have the prices for them. Pro balance may be sufficient and is cheaper but best ask them for advice.

My mare doesn't like the taste, so I only feed half a scoop a day split into two feeds. So it lasts me twice as long. I would not feed the whole dose even if she liked it as some of the ingredients are already in the pure easy that I feed her.

I don't think the forage plus has yea sac, does it? Or magnesium? Could be wrong. But it's cheaper.

The ForagePlus Performance Balancer has yea-sacc (but no glutamine).

They all contain magnesium.

What you don't get with the ForagePlus balancers is sweets/chocolate :D

my order was sent from pro earth yesterday :)

I think I worked it out as 90 odd p a day (for 500 kg) the other day and forageplus worked out cheaper for the summer balancer but more for the winter. It wasn't much different to what we spend on minerals per day separately anyway!

Ok don't sound so smug!! lol!

It's the price comparison is very useful. Thank you. I just worked out the winter balancer from FP as being just over a quid a day for my boy... May not need it now as, thanks to a wonderful friend and my instructor... and of course my daddy dearest, he might be staying where he is...
