fence 3 XC, seems to get bigger every time I jump it

Spotted Erica taking the piccies at this one, really don't know what I was thinking though, how embarrassing.... I console myself with the fact it is a nice shot of Pidge though :D

So bar my best gurning efforts anything to improve on?
ETS: I have permission to post these from Bill Parrott

its clearly your 'concentration' face :D i have one of those!

looking very good, great lower leg and looking forwards to next fence. perhaps could release more over the fence (but i'm hardly one to talk coz i can't seem to do it! )

:D at least I'm not the only one then :D
yes I know I need to give a little more over the fence but sometimes what I want to do and actually do are totally different ;)

lol, i do unusual things with my face jumping too :)

I adore your horse, always been a favourite of mine, he reminds me so much of my old horse who sadly passed away last year. Can i pleassssse have him :D x

I think the whole thing looks fab - funny faces are a must! Mine always seem to have a 'i'm bloody terrified' hint to them!

Hope you don't mind me asking, but I notice you have a string girth on in these pics. I am thinking of using one on my round mare to help with stability of the saddle and avoid having to overgirth her - how have you found it - does it pinch? and does it help to stop your saddle slipping? oh, and what make is it? The only decent type I can find is the Stubben one (sorry for hijacking the theme of the thread :))

All very amusing, but following on from the very lively debate in the CR forum about photography and copyright, is it appropriate or legal for you to be posting these pictures here? The file name in the image properties suggest these are scanned copies and you clearly say they are pro pictures - do you have permission to copy the pictures and show them here?

Sorry to be a killjoy but I would be hypocritical to support and defend photographers' rights in one forum and not speak out when I see them potentially being flouted in another. The photographer may not even mind, but you need to be sure and, if they are OK about it, I would add a line along the lines "reproduced with the permission of...." or something to avoid people like me sticking my nose in.

figbat, I was just thinking the same but it does say under the last picture permission granted... and it was edited last night

Great pics, I have always pulled a funny face- pure concentration!!!

what lovely photos! that hedge looks rather big might i add, well done :D and lol at the faces.. but don't worry - i pull some horrific faces over fences, just proves we're concentrating ;) x

lymeregis - thank you he is a rather special horse
MG - thanks and its just rather unusual for me to pull funny faces as normally I'm just concentrating
SamuelWhiskers - yep all 3 photos purchased from Bill :D I have a photo album full now of his pics so need to get another  My standing joke with him is that he is bankrupting me by taking such good pics but I just can't resist a good photo :D
RomanyMayday - thank you :) when I'm really concentrating I stick my tongue out and bite it at the same time
charlie55 - aw thank you and sorry about your old horse, how was he bred as Pidge is ISH?
jenrifer - thanks and yep its a stubben string girth. IMO its fab as its nice and soft, wide, and breathes nicely too. Bosworth on here recommended it to me ages ago and this is my second one. Oh and saddle doesn't slip with it either and its so easy to clean as I just rinse it under the tap :D
figbat - No need to worry about permission from the photographer, I purchase loads from Bill and have his full permission to post them on here. I only scan or post the pictures I actually purchase and never post the ones I haven't purchased if he has sent them via email to look at before buying. I had forgotten when originally posting this to put the fact I'd got permission hence editing it pretty much straight away to put that in before someone thought I hadn't got permission.
smac - thanks I think they are great pics too
MM - thanks the hedge was about 110-120m on the landing side last time Katy measured it but it seemed to be even bigger at that event

You look totally amazing, and your horse is to die for....i love him. Only wish I was doing it with my boy, but he's broke at the moment, maybe next year, if i'm lucky. Keep pics coming, always nice to see a happy combination. As for pulling faces I do it too, my daughter on the other hand always smiles!!!!!!!!! and looks lovely, oh well...x

Thank you, Pidge was broke earlier this year as had hock spavin again so am understandably over the moon he can do this now :D fingers crossed for your boy coming right.

Well done to both of you! He looks fantastic. I did look out for you but didn't see you. Far too shy to approach owners of large ginger beasties in the lorry park and ask if they were called Pidge!

How did you get on, I missed your comp report.

Well done to you both! Thats a really good score. I'm glad I didn't say hello to the owner of the ginger beastie parked a couple of lorries away as it clearly wasn't you, I didn't get there till midday.

Lil is black with no white apart from her back heel. My xc colours are navy with a white trim. We're in Class one but travelling with a friend doing the intermediate so should be around for a fair while.

thanks and good job you didn't go accosting the owner of the big ginger beastie :p
Cool will look out for you let me your times when you get them as we're doing the novice class :)
