I have bought a pro pic and wish to post it on the forum. I don't have a copy of it on my computer, but could I use the picture of their website on here (though it will be overstamped).
So basically, once you have bought a picture is it 'yours'?

Basically, you own the photo you have bought but not the image.

Some photographers let you pay extra to own the image and use it, e.g. on facebook.

Most others will let you post it IF you ask permission first.

(There is a really interesting current thread in Comp. Riders at the moment dealing with this)

No you have bought a copy of the image, not the copyright to distribute it as and when... so in other words you need to ask the photographer you bought the photo from

ahhh I see. If I take a photo of the physical copy with my camera and post it, what then??
If only life was simple eh?
Then I have to work out how to post the thing on this dam forum!

no.

you buy a copy of the photo - not the actual thing or the rights to it....

ask the tog, they may accept it with a mention if their name (credit to them...)
