Hello, I am really worried, on Sunday I had a fall with my horse on very wet slippery grass where he landed with his front legs straight out in front and his back legs both to one side.
He was fine after and we had to hack home for another 5 miles or so.
I was Tuesday, however he has been slightly lame in his off fore since and no improvment today.
He is still bearing weight as usual and has been turned out each day for 5-7 hours.
He is 17hh and around 660-700kg.
I have just spoken to my vet who has advised to box rest him from now.
If anyone else has any other experience of this or similar I would be really grateful.

Thanks

Vet. Now. No doubt in my mind. With a twisting injury like that there could be a problem almost anywhere in the horse's body. It might be nothing but I'd sooner act swiftly and it be nothing than leave it and have something ghastly brewing.

Hi, Of course I have called vet and she is coming today, but I just wanted to know if anyone had similar experiences in the meanwhile.

Thanks
