Gypsy cob is not a breed its a type. As long as it looks like a cob it can be any breed and is probably a mixed breed.

Not for showing purposes, although I do know someone who entered a chestnut vanner in a native class when she should have been in the ring next door and won!

I would say not as they are not a 'pure' breed - well I don't think they are. Natives are natives as in indigenous to an area ie dartmoor, shetland ponies.
I am sure someone will explain it better than me

Yes I thought, new forests, Moor ponies, shetlands etc etc... but then thought what is a Drum Cob..still a type of mixed breed I suppose?
