Hi, I'm taking horse to a show tomorrow - and just realised that its the first time i've been out without my mother to help me with all the documents etc!

So, do i need to take her passport and registration certificate with me ? And when i get there do i need to go and see the secretary!

Thanks so much - haven't done this for aggeees to can't remember! x

If in doubt take it with you and when you go to the sec for your numbers ask if they need to see the documents. For eventing we always have to present passports.

For transporting its always recommended.
As the law is u can be stopped at anytime and asked to produce documentation for your horse. So prob best to.
Also the fine for not being to produce documents can be upto £5000!!!!!!!!

what if we already have been given numbers? Ok, i'll take it all - i'm hacking there tho so was trying to cut down what i take but these are obv essentials! Thank you xx

You should definately take your passport and vacc card (if seperate).... I wouldn't worry about your reg card as it's not an affiliated show. You only need to produce them if asked, so they can stay safely in the lorry or car.

As you already have your number you do not need to see the secretary - the steward in the collecting ring will check everyone is there
