Sections are up for Moreton and CCJ seems to have several names in both her section.
Half the UK Team (WF-P and Lucy)
At least another three Badminton riders...
A Brazilian Olympic Team member and an Australian one too.
Oh well, it's a pretty drive to Moreton overlooking the sea, it will be even prettier when we drive home earlier with that sort of opposition!

Oh

If they are in your section it should mean that their horses are only able for that level too - it's not like they are taking badminton horses around against CCJ.... And everyone has bad days, so without ever wanting to wish for bad things, lets hope technical errors occur that enable CCJ to go up above them (forgetting Dressage / going wrong way SJ, missing a XC fence perhaps!!!).....

Keep smiling and bask in the knowledge you're up to competing against the best, not many sports allow for this amount of parallel....!!!

Have entered for Winkleigh Sue, well, I couldn't really not could I?

Since when has a whole load of pros stopped Caz still coming home in the top 10?

I agree with Boss, thats what makes eventing great fun, even more so when you beat the pros

Good luck CCJ

I think if anything it makes her more determined, but seriously, what chance has anyone against WFP, he is elegance personified on a horse...
I'm more worried about the ground, it's rock hard here and they are in a drier area than us, though C says it's usually not bad there.
Years ago when we show jumped our old stallion we would roll up in our trailer an park next to the Whittakers' huge lorry. Often ours would be the only trailer there, everyone else having boxes, but how satisfying was it when he almost always got a rosette and won enough cash to pay for our suppers in the cafe, proves the best horses don't alway come in posh lorries!
Now if we could just have two days' rain the going would be much better, come on clouds.

SEE! there you go

WFP might be elegance personified on a horse, but CCJ is as just a good and gutsy. Like you say it makes you more determined.

Eventing with have to compete against the pros, in dressage I have to compete against those great big warmbloods with movement to die for and skinny minis who look elegant in white breeches.
And wasnt I pleased as punch to whip those lilly white asses last weekend on the irish one

Hopefully they are all quaking now they know you're in their section

Concentrate on having a good time and even if you don't beat all of them it'll still be worth the trip!

I saw a sports physocologist (sp?) a couple of years back as always felt intimidated by who we were up against. He put a perspective on it, rather like MysteryGirl says, perhaps you have them quaking in their boots. Whilst that is a nice thought it is unliikely to be the case with me but did help me a lot to think yes, we deserve to be here, we have won at this level etc etc. I think one of the nicest things about horses is that you do get to compete against the top people - bit like HH I have turned up with an ancient lorry and competed against the best and have beaten a world champion, an olympic gold medallist etc. As an amateur racing driver, you are not going to compete against Jenson Button but in horse riding you can genuinely complete against JW, WFP et all (even if their lorry cost more than your house!).

Well, we're driving all the way from Devon just to help!! Do give us a wave at the cross country start, I'm afraid I'm usually too busy to talk. Tell CCJ to think positive, she rides beautifully, she just needs a little luck.
