Probably should have picked a different name

Really dont see the issue your trying to bring up Negro is commonly used in spanish and Potugese to describe the colour black ,so a large proportion of the speaking world. Fairly obvious then why he was so named! I dont think anybody will be upset by a horse called' neg grow' do you?

I was looking at it in a more tongue in cheek way, esp with the word being in the media lately due to celeb big brother lol

I'm remember noticing that whenever Carl Hester refers to Valegro's sire in an interview/clinic etc. ,he pronounces it ' Neg-ro'. I assumed he was doing it to be pc or perhaps that's how it should be said.

No, I'm pretty sure that's the correct pronunciation! I think its actually a lovely name :)

The one that always make giggle is Ginger Dick!

My horse of a lifetime was by him and I try not to broadcast it ! lol. I have seen a showjumper by Ginger Dick out of a Zero Watt mare called Ginger Watt (Ginger What ?) haha

Also remember a showjumper called Prozac - "next to go we have Joe Citizen on Prozac"

It is the correct pronunciation of the Spanish/Portuguese word for Black. Simples.
