I am half way tho' a five day guard wormer. If he had worms would I see them? I have disected lots of poos and seen nothing.

I remember well, worming a young horse with no worming history and seeing large and I mean large, (snake like) round worms.

I have seen no red or round worms. Does that mean no worms present?

I may be wrong but there can be evidence of adult red worms if they are present, but if they aren't, it doesn't meant there are no encysted red worms (eggs) and I think the larval stages are on the grass. So, treating for encysted and adult stages is the way to go.

Hi when i bought my yougster i did a worm count which came back very high over2000 epg. I used the 5 day guard wormer as advised and never saw any worms either before, during or after but the evidence was there at the lab x
