Problem with Hotmail right now?

My hotmail rarely works! It's favourite thing to do is wait until I've composed a long email the say there was an error.

I use googlemail now, much better!
 
I still can't get on. It's a real pain in the backside as all my email accounts are sent through my main hotmail one. Grrrrr.... :mad:
 
mine's ok now but I had a problem last week. I cleared cookies and closed and re-opened browser and it worked after but that may have been a coincidence!!

I might be missing the point entirely but why don't you use an independent email program like Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail (which I use with several different email accounts) not had any problems with my Hotmail account through that?
 
Amazingly, when you check on the Hotmail service status, it says it is running normally... it then gives you the option to sign in to check status on your personal account... all running normally apparently. Then you try to actually sign into the account and it says that there is a problem with hotmail and they are trying to fix it... So not running normally then:rolleyes:

No, I have just been googling it, apparently it was down on the 6th 7th, 8th and 9th with the same issues at various times. there was a message on the 9th saying the problem was fixed for all users but obviously not! I have had to change the email address used for a contact form on my website, because I have a lot of people filling the form in at the moment... I just cant run the risk that they wont be able to submit their form. I have not had any email for about 3 1/2 hrs, I can look at my mail on my ipad but nothing new is coming through, I tested the account by trying to send a mail from one account to another and I get an error message and it just goes into my outbox :( Really, really not impressed with this!

To be fair, I have been with Hotmail for years and I have never before experienced a problem. I had no idea there were so many problems the last few days
