I have a little problem andam not sure why it is happening (although I am suspecting it may be positional

)

When I am cantering my seat bones literally "grind" on the saddle, its not painful just uncomfortable, and it is also a little noisy!

I am wondering if this may be affecting my horses way of going as he is rather tense?

Also, wondered if a seat saver may be the answer? Are they BD legal?

(Im sure they are not)

Hope this makes sense.

I used to get sore where my seat bones pressed into the saddle - I have a skinny bum (shame I cant squidge a bit down from my belly).

I have found the Heather Moffat a godsend and have used it at RC level with no complaints.

Ruel Book Section 50 says (under Saddles as the header) A gel pad seat saver is permitted provided that it is unobtrusive and matches the colour of the saddle.. Other types of seat saver including sheepskin/fur fabric are not permitted unless written dispensation has been obtained from the BD office.

So any gel one that matchers your saddle should be ok.

Ir go for the even more expensive option of a new saddle, perhaps one of those ones with the memory foam seat!
