I got given a pair of Tredstep Da Vinci boots for christmas, just got back in the saddle today after being ill everytime I had chance to ride, anyway the boots really rubbed the back of my heels :( I think because my feet are lifting up/down at back when I trot  so am wondering whether to try some of those heel supports/ gel things to see if they help  or will the boots eventually not do this once they have been used abit more

Mini eggs on offer for any help :D

Compeed blister plasters. Put them on before the boots rub if possible and tape over them with plaster from a roll if they tend to come loose on your feet. You can leave them on for a few days. This is what I used when I went hiking and they worked a treat.
Once your boots are broken in they should no longer rub the same.

You may look silly doing this, but it is worth wearing them at every opportunity when you are not riding to try and soften them up a bit :) I made the mistake of getting new boots and a new back protector at the same time, was awfully glad no visitors called on the evenings when I watched TV in the ensamble :D

So I put these on my feet? :) The boots have already rubbed a slight blister :( after just under an hour of riding :(

Yes. You have to warm them in your hands first and then they mould round your heel. they are quite thick and squashy and stop the friction between the boot and your skin. You can put them on over a blister if you already have one but I like to put them on before I get the blister if I know the boots rub.
These are the ones
