Does anyone have any experiences travelling a horse with just the front breast bar and nothing else, my thoroughbred had a bad experience in the box where she lost her footing and collapsed in the box and could not regain her balance, I've since tried her again with another horse in the box and a deep bed of shavings, we got 3 yards and her back end collapsed getting her bum under the back bar and just went into a blind panic, she can't seem to keep her back end upright and her legs turn to jelly, I really need to get this sorted, help?

Have you tried her on her own in the box with all the space? Sorry if that's what you're asking.
I know of lots of people who travel with all the partitions out and just a breast bar - many problem travellers sort themselves out with more room to position themselves. It may be worth a try to see if it gives her more confidence being able to spread her feet a bit wider.

Hi thanks, yes she first did it when she was on her own and had originaly thought this was the problem having left her friends but obviously not after trying her with another horse, i'm going to give it a shot and at least if she goes down theres nothing she can damage herself on, I also want to try a few trips under sedation just to hopefuly get her confidance back, with no riding involved just a road trip

Thats exactly the stuff I have ordered, vet coming on monday to do a health check and she's to get half a syringe for trying her to take the edge off her, front bar is in the box and she's loading well so fingers crossed
