problems uploading a video onto facebook

I am having serious problems uploading my partners video's he has taken on his phone onto facebook. It is saying that the file is too large even when they are way under the 1024 MB and 20mins it says they must be under. The files are the right type to upload and we are using QuickTime. When I try to compress the file of my disc (partner put videos onto CD for me) it says it does not recognize the format I am using.

When I try to upload it, it says 69 hours and so many minutes, then within a split second it will go to 78 hours then eventually will tell me it will take 980 hours to upload. I have struggled and struggled and managed to get two of the three videos on facebook but this latest one (of me doing a dressage test) will not go on.

Is anyone else struggling with uploading videos from a phone via a CD onto facebook or is it just me???

Mine did that the other day, I kept refreshing the page and re uploading till it worked - took about 15 attempts - you could just stick it on youtube and put a link on your page to it though?

Oh can you do that then? I am not very technically minded and its doing my head in! Thank you I will give that a shot tonight.
