Been reviewing the supplements for my two, and was somewhat taken aback by one company's website.

First of all, I have posted about Winergy today, and it is NOT them.

The website concerned has a link offering free product. When you click on it you are instructed to put a post reviewing their product either on HHO or Your Horse, and then emailing the link to them.

Just a suggestion, but if you are interested in a product you have seen getting glowing reviews, its worth checking the product website carefully.

Well, for crying out loud NWO! How desperate must a company be to rely on co-erced endorsements! Is there any way you can sneak the company's name on the Forum? Coz I can't think of anything more guaranteed to make me stop buying their stuff. I hope Admin pick this up and investigate! Thanks for alerting us x

It does make you wonder whether the product is any good at all if Maxavita have to resort to such underhand tactics to promote it! After all, if it was genuinely an excellent product then people would be posting positive reports of their own accord, without needing any bribes or inducements.

I have actually posted a link to the site in Feedback & Suggestions to see what Admin feel about the situation.

Yes, the Maxavita site. Wasn't sure if i was allowed to name them.

Will toddle off and make sure admin knows about this.

Looks like the strategy may backfire.

I do use one of their products and have probably mentioned it before together with various other supplements and feeds I have used.

But lets face it now if anyone mentions their product people will be suspicious of their motives for recommending it.

Thanks for the link MM.

Before everyone leaps into the fray, when you read the link page it's not quite as OP said. They actively encourage honest feedback so, in theory at least, you could say the product was good or bad and still get your refund. I still think it's a bit dodgy if only because it's too easy to misunderstand, as OP did. And you have to ask yourself whether they would truly welcome posts on eg H&H that said members thought it was rubbish, and whether they would give a refund!

BOF got there ahead of me. I was going to say that whilst they might be wanting people to post about their products there is nothing to say that has to be positive. You are entitled to post whatever you like about a product, good or bad.

I'm nothing to do with them btw, have never used their products and have no plans to!

[/ QUOTE ] But only ten of the submitted reviews will receive the refund and be linked to on their website - hmmm .... let me guess whether they will choose the complimentary ones or not ....
