Has anyone bought either of these items?...

I like the look of these MT high waited comp breeches in beige, but I am very fussy about breeches, what kind of fabric/fit are they?... Can anyone vouch for them wear wise? I like thin feeling breeches with a good fit round the knee, baggy knees drive me crazy...

also anyone use NEW xc boots?.. like this http://www.newequinewear.co.uk/shop...nd-accessories/cross-country-boots-for-horses

I have premier equine ones atm but they are on the way out, so was thinking about getting some NEW ones in custom colours but think they look a little flimsy?... anyone use them?...

Thank you

Al has a pair of those, I think. They're nice- she has the canary, for hunting. They've stood up well to the intense washing they have to undergo after every day out!

Haven't tried the breeches, but wouldn't recommend the news! Had a pair for hunting lasted FIVE saterdays before they got past the standard of which I happy to use a set of boots for hunting! And on a horse which didn't wear boots for anything else without injury so not a trasher! Combined with news poor customer service when I emailed them (no reply) they are now on my 'bargepole' list! Love love love premier equine, brought 2 pairs in sale (incase it was the ground or horse that trashed the news) and the first pair were used for around 15 days hunting and they still come up like new, and haven't left horse with hot legs, pr become heavy when xc schooling through water! Wouldn't buy anything else now!

ah good to know! I did try to buy something from them a while back and it was a bit of a nightmare sounds like they haven't changed, will probs stick to the PE ones but buy them in black! white ones looks decidedly ropey now!

Haven't bought them, but tried them and loved the fit and feel - weren't too thick, and rather slim fitting.

Can't comment on the New boots but a friend had some Style ones ...they were a great fit, and after quite a spectacular horse fall cross country the lining had been ripped away to reveal the carbon fibre...and showed exactly why you'd want the carbon fibre there. She took them to the Style stockist to show them (they are looking for boots of their's that have taken knocks, to show them in demos etc)....and they replaced them with a brand new set free of charge within two days. Excellent service, and boots that really proved their worth (customisable colours too!)

I have had a couple of pairs if MT breeches and I don't get on with them, they don't fit very well and mine didn't last long either! I have the NEW airflow XC boots and I like them, I have had them for a couple of years now and they are still going strong, I have the fleeces one too, they are about 10 years old and still functioning :)

I've used NEW boots for about 15 years now.... And can't fault them (apart from when my mum tumble dried three pairs.... That was expensive!)

I've never used the PE ones though, so haven't got a comparison, but all the types of NEW I've had have been great (mainly use the lightweight comp boot)

I love my NEW front boots (the Lites) - they have lasted for years - done a season of eventing/2 seasons of hunting and are now still going strong as my hacking boots - would still be good enough for competition if I wanted them too. Didn't like the hinds much though. Disappointed with my Style boots - heavy, slipped down and the velcro has frayed and fallen apart and they dont stay done up without tape now. Didnt really like my Premier Equine ones - tendon guard snapped in one and left sharp plastic edges. Now got a set of Equilibrium Airlite ones as paranoid about heat after tendon injury - they are super light and keep legs so cool - so far so good.

I have Mark Tood Gisborne breeches and live in them - zips are the things that tend to go but I've had most of mine for years.

Second the Equilibrium Airlite boots, I use the Allsports for everything and my boys legs are always far cooler than in anything else! :)

I've bought a pair of ariat breeches which are similar prices but I've been told they are much better quality and v flattering! :)

I have them too! I like them, especially the fact they don't have Velcro bits round you calf! But think they could be more 'comfy' in fit and be a bit high waisted but that's just me! ;)

I have had 2 pairs of mark todd breeches. Navy everyday ones which didn't last long, and some competition ones which are ok, but don't wash brilliantly.
Love Ariat breeches, Jeffries breeches (want more of these but can't find them!), and I managed to pick up a pair pikuer breeches for £35 which are brilliant to.

I like the Equilibrium Airlight boots too, fit really nicely and are really light, prefer them over my PE ones tbh :)

Don't have those specific breeches, but have the Mark Todd Gisbornes for the girls and SERIOUSLY recommend - they live in them - both for competing and every day. Last ages - oldest pair about 3.5 years old - and are still going from (apart from the fact that they're getting too small!) Not thick either, they're thin and good for summer - also very stretchy and non-restricting :)

I bought those breeches last week. I am very pleased with them, fit much better than the Ariat ones I bought a while ago and then re-sold on ebay. Only gripe I had was that I bought them two days before the sale!

I've had the NEW lite xc boots. Had them for years, used them everyday and xc and despite being very lite and airy stood up very well. I also had at xmas the PE lite boots and love them too, but the straps are fraying already, so dont think they will last quite as well.

I've got 4 pairs of NEW boots, 2 aircooled and 2 lites, they are as tough as anything as well as being really light-weight, and are still going strong after years and years. I've never had anything other than great customer service from them. I know someone who needed made-to-measure and they really put themselves out to help her out in time. They really are over-engineered for the job in a way (never a bad thing!) e.g. the velcro they use is to a higher spec than U.S. army spec (well, that impressed me, and explains why the velcro straps on my NEW boots are as they were at the beginning, yet velcro straps on Style, Woofs etc have torn, snapped, frayed etc).
I rate them hugely.

Cant comment on the breeches - personally I love Kerrits which are like tights (can get sticky bum ones) and so so comfy!

Ive got NEW Lightweight XC boots, think these have been updated and are called "Lite" now and fabric looks a little different from mine. Love mine, have had them probably about 6 years now and used them for eventing regularly. Never had any problems with them, they fit great, never move/slip and are really protective (yet nice and flexible not solid like some). Mine still looks pretty much brand new! They wash brilliantly too. Dont think I'll ever use anything else XC than N.E.W ones ;)

I had PE ones before the NEWS and hated them. They just didnt seem to fit anything very well and slipped/rubbed when wet. They're still used nowadays but only for flatwork in the field.

Can't comment on the boots, but zips on MT breeches don't last more than 5 minutes! I've tried different styles and OH has the same problem so not just the ladies styles! Love the breeches otherwise but it is very annoying!
