[Lacuna]

Silly little happy post - we had our first proper canter in the school today. No power trotting, no bucking - just a nice transition and comfy canter for about 6 strides on both reins. Decided to finish it there on a good note and I'm well chuffed

Not much in the grand scheme of things but it feels great the the penny is finally dropping. we might even get a chance to dance the paintbrushes in a basic prelim in the autumn. (pony has so much feather he has been described as having four paintbrushes flying in formation - its kind of stuck as a description!)

now just need to find out why the big mounting block has got a troll in it but a plastic crate/chair/fence/ etc hasn't..

I love the little "wins" and I totally get where you are coming from Lacuna! I don't think its a silly thing to be happy about! Got to love a "mini victory" All part and parcel of horses

Had to laugh and "dance the paintbrushes" I totally got the "Dance of the Sugarplum fairies" song pop into my head with a load of paintbrushes in tutus!!!

I see what you mean though about the dance of the paint brushes! I love to see a cobs feathers bouncing around. And your pony is gorgeous lovely markings.
