Progress!

Sorry I just need to celebrate a bit.
I’m in my 50s and started back riding in January with glacial progress. I posted here a few weeks ago.
This week I have finally had a good lesson where the RS ploddy cob was listening to me.
No it was not easy, yes I was still working like mad. But it was more leg and less kick.
Finally I felt like I was actually getting somewhere. Loads still to work on, and I mean LOADS but I’ll take it.

Don’t be sorry - celebrate! Much older (25 years) than you and lifetime of riding/competing but still euphoric after a good hack on wonderful horse (and still learning) It’s why we do it!

That's brilliant, like you I'm in my 50's and returned to riding in May, I'm loving it and although progress is slow I can see and feel my body remembering what to do, it's such a good feeling, keep up the good work
