After T's recent arthritis diagnosis, I have been looking for a joint supplement for him. I have already had a couple of good recommendations on here, but have been looking for something that would tick more than one box. As his feeds are made up by the yard at the moment, I was wanting something that would simplify the process for them, instead of adding another scoop of something.

He is currently fed
150g (dry weight) Pink Mash
A small handful of Honeychop Lite and Healthy
1 scoop Equimins Advance
1 scoop Protexin
5g magnesium
80ml scoop oily herbs
150 ml scoop of a mix of various herbs

It looks (to me) that the PE Pre Veteran could be good for the joint supplement and balancer meaning I could drop the Equimins, and maybe mean I could drop the Protexin as well (although I'm not sure that the VistaCell would provide the same level of benefit). Happy to be corrected!

I was wondering if anyone currently uses this, or if anyone has any other recommendations for supplements/ generally simplifying his feed?

If you use the Pre Veteran, you'll be able to drop the magnesium.

Have you seen any actual improvement feeding the herbs / is your grazing diverse enough that you might not need them?

Thank you- will drop the magnesium!

The oily herbs were recommended when I did the Equibiome test last year, and the others I had added as where he is the grazing is not very diverse at all and, depending on the field he is in, is fenced not a hedgerow boundry. Over the winter/spring the horses are turned out in allweather areas, so are just on hay/haylage.

I have seen a bit of improvement since feeding the oily herbs as he seems to be less affected by changes in forage- the yard goes through a bale of haylage a day, so there can sometimes be quite a variation between one day and the next (it's usually pretty consistent, but sometimes there are bales that are wetter/drier)

He has been ok with the oily herbs and seems to quite like them, but will definitely bear that in mind about the PE!
