There was me thinking there was no difference, really. I'd been using PE Vit E, as I have Hermosa on a fairly high dose of it. No issues.

I ran out between Christmas and New Year, and PE shut down their factory in Orkney over the holidays, whereas ForagePlus did not. So I got a bag from ForagePlus. Whatever.

Hermosa completely turned up her nose at it. To make sure she wasn't off her hard feed for another reason (Dengie MeadowLite plus assorted supplements), I gave her a bowl of the MeadowLite with everything except for the new vit E. Ate it, no bother.

FFS. It can't possibly be that different, but what do I know.

When I did a comparison a while back, the range and concentration of minerals was similar but the feeding recommendation are different which means if you feed FP at the recommended rate, you are feeding a lot more so the extra would make it taste stronger.

This was a while ago and in the blends though so not sure if this is still the case and applies to straights

My 1st PE delivery hasn't arrived yet but at least the website was easy to navigate, while FP website is a nightmare. It can take all evening to place an order and I have never yet managed to sort out the subscription discount.

Forageplus went all political/anti racing etc on their FB, stepping well outside of their box with crackpot crusades.

I stopped using them for that reason after being a regular customer for years and told them why. I don’t even like racing!

Plus Pro Earth give chocolate 🙃.

I used to alternate between the two suppliers before then.

It is free postage with PE with a minimum spend of, IIRC, £170 ish. I also buy their pea protein and Pro Balance+, so make each order big enough to get the free postage.

So you're suggesting my horse has been reading their Facebook posts and is making her feelings known? I knew giving her a phone was a bad idea!

;)

Mine wouldn't eat the Forageplus. Am using the Feedmark one and he eats that fine. Must admit haven't compared what they contain which is rather poor of me.

Do like a company that provides chocolates though

Hmmmm that’s interesting, I’ve always fed the FP Vit E no problem but he’s started turning his nose up at his feed, I didn’t think of the vit E being the problem but they did recently change the formula

Used to be the other way round. FP had free postage over a certain amount and PE always charged and became it was up to a certain weight, I once ended up with £20 postage.

Just checked and now fp is £80 for free delivery and PE £150. Neither affect me as I don't buy enough. I get the protrace3 from PE, no fp equivalent. If I was going to get a blend I would get fp phosphorus free, no pe equivalent.

Mine has gone off of the FP Vit E, never had a problem with it before, it looks more yellow than white. Wonder if the ingredients have been changed?

I’m feeding natural vitamin e capsules from Amazon , 1000 mg capsules work out to less than 10 p each. Seems way cheaper and easier but is there some reason I shouldn’t be doing this ?
Weirdly my pony that won’t eat Omeprazole capsules, will happily eat them.

The stuff I have is white. Looks like cocaine. I managed to sneak 2000 iu into her feeds today but I don’t think she’ll go for more than that.

I also feed vit e in capsule form but from H & B. I use the natural 400iu ones. I prefer the liquid form to powder.

I recently switched to PE as FP changed their formula a little while ago and PE seemed like a slightly better deal (also, the chocolate!). I have never found any difference other than the feed rate. Sounds like FP changed their formula again?
