I apologize for all my posts but trying to sort my horsey life out and you guys are so helpful!! Also for lack of horsey adult friends to talk this over, I always appreciate HH Members
After much thought I'm now thinking maybe the BHS Stage 1 might'n be the best fit. I've been looking into the progressive riding tests and like the idea of them much more.
After reading some BHS exam experiences I have been put right off, as my anxiety makes my words jumble up so the thought of an examiner questioning me in front of all those people is not something I can handle!(not yet anyway)
If the care part was 100% written I'd have no issue but speaking wise, my words always end up getting mixed up.
Has anyone done the progressive riding tests 1-6? How did you find them?
Also has anyone ever done them privately? eg finding a BHSAI Instructor and getting lessons with them & they examining you? That seems 100% better for me personally but I'm not sure its even allowed. Does anyone know if it has to be done in a group or could I do it all through private lessons?
There is nowhere in Northern Ireland that does a Progressive test course, my old riding school used to run the odd session but they focused mainly on younger riders so found the pony club tests were run instead.
Thanks in advance guys
