i am looking for one with a friend and have found something cheap and workable which looks nice to so was wondering waht everyone thought of project ponies.
My situation is i have 1 ridable pony 14.2, 1 companion 14.3 and about 3 and 1/2 acres to much all year so do you think i would have enough grazing. would be hoping to sell after about 2 years!

Thanks

With good management, that acreage will be fine. As to project ponies, it really depends on your knowledge/experience and help available. If you are certain you can work and improve the pony, then go for it. If you are in doubt, don't.

With the land, We used to keep 4, 3 matives and a 17.3HH on less land than that and with careful management it was fine.

Project ponies- Would you want to make a profit, because if you do 2 years would really be too long to keep it, and if it was a youngster that you broke would have to take it out and about more than just a few times.
