I really like my Prolite :) I've never had a problem with, including long & sweaty rides & pony definitely seemed to prefer it.

I've got one available if you want it? Nothing wrong with it, perfectly fine on the (now-retired) horse, but not any better than other types of ergonomic girths, IMO.

Yes if you have a horse with a forward girth groove. Note that most horses need the narrow gauge, not the standard: the narrow should really be called standard, and the standard called wide. Very helpful top from the saddlery I got mine from.
The edges can be hard so I'd recommend using a girth sleeve. The Shires Supafleece sleeve will fit even though it's a straight sleeve
