ProLite Rear Riser

i've used the front riser, which is good, but is a little narrow across, slightly narrower than the panels on my jumping saddles, which isn't so good. so, check that it's wide enough across.
tbh i can't imagine having a saddle that needed lifting behind, i always want them the other way! as the horse's back lifts and rounds it tips a level saddle forward slightly anyway.

i have one i thought it was ok, the idea is great but i found it slid out from my saddle. also i thought the front was to thick but my prob was that i just needed my saddle lifted at the back (high withered horse) and with this pad it made is to narrow at front.

Me and the saddler have been trying to persevere with my saddle - the long and short of it being that it is a synthetic saddle and for some reason the cantle is a lot lower than it should be. My horse is high withered and it fits fine at the front but isn't as high as it should be at the back. We've also noticed that the saddle doesn't sit as closely on his back as it should resulting in a bit of a space between him and the saddle esp in rising trot. I did wonder if a prolite pad would work but think I am going to get a new saddle instead - as if I can afford it...!!!

For rear risers I prefer key hole style - these don't add extra bulk at the front

The other thing you cuold consider is a korrector pad, so you can alter as you go along.

I have this problem with George, he is high withered, very short in the back with a dip so his saddle neads rising at the back. I use a wintec riser which is great as it doesn't slip, but it is too thick at the front and pinches a bit I suspect.

I have exactly this problem and the saddle fits perfect on the shoulder, but is too narrow with a riser. I have just bought a key hole one whihc basically looks like a foam tennis racket. It does the job, but at the moment slips back, I'm hoping it's going to bed down soon and stay in place.

I have a prolite rear riser as my horse has high withers and a dipped back. My dressage saddle fits perfectly however my GP was a bit low behind and as I only use it about once a week my saddler suggested this. He adjusted my saddle so that once the pad was underneath it fits perfectly, so it's saved me a lot of money. However in your case I would probably look to get another saddle.

the saddler came out to see him last week and the saddle fits absolutely fine, except for being too low at the back, so he is going to try and shave the front of a wintec riser to make it thinner but smooth and hopefully that will do the job.

I use a front riser and it's great, really does the job. Another woman on the yard uses the rear riser and it's made a huge improvement.
