My loan boy has been out of work since before Crimbo and I'm now starting to bring him back into work. Have done some long-lining and lungeing and I'm going to start riding him. He has a Barrie Swain saddle which I've had checked for fit and understandably he's lost quite a bit of muscle on his topline. Saddle fitter advised me to use a Prolite pad TEMPORARILY - with adjustable front and rear shims until he muscles up. He's a WB so hopefully, with lots of walking and a bit of hill work, this won't take too long. I've been hunting on the net and by chance, as well as the Prolite I've spotted a Griffin Hi-wither half shimmy pad with front and back pockets too and it's lined with Nuumed wool. Buzz does have a high-ish wither at the moment so I wondered how the Prolite might fit.
I just wondered if anyone had any experience with either of these items and could recommend one over the other?
If anyone wants a look, this is the Griffin... tab down the page past the rugs, it's in the left column...

And this is the Prolite...

Would really appreciate any thoughts, thank you.
