promoting my horses mane to grow ?

Not sure how - but I used pig oil as part of my 'sweet itch defence' kit this year combined with his fly rug. Mane is thicker than ever and his forelock has grown long for the first time in five years. Fwiw.. he didn't have sweetitch before and his forelock was pityful and nothing I did helped it grow!! Hence me thinking about the pig oil.....

Megatek - great stuff.

I wanted to be able to spray it onto my horse's mane so put some in a spray bottle and topped it up with baby oil - now have a lovely smelling mane & tail conditioner! It seems to be working very well - mane has grown around 2-3 inches since I started using it about a month or so ago. The bottle of Megatek seems like it will last ages as well as I've barely used any, so good value .

I use Megatek diluted one part to 4 parts water, but not thought of diluting with baby oil! Works well diluted with water too but am going to keep watching this thread and try the baby oil dilution too, as my highland took out a huge chunk of his mane last year and it's still coming back.
