I'm wondering whether to try my lad on propell plus to give him a little more 'oomph'. He's an overheight dales. At this time of year I'm usually struggling to keep the weight off him, but he's not carrying any excess at the moment and is pretty fit. He's out 24/7 now but I'm still feeding him hifi and a meadow mix (can't think of the name of it without checking!) and a splash of soya oil. When I know I'll be jumping him I give him competition mix the few days before in the run up to give him a little more energy, but his energy levels seem to vary so much and at times he seems quite lethargic.

Would Propell plus be worth a go? I know it's meant to be for horses in hard work, but was wondering if it would be suitable as if I give him too much hard feed he tends to pile on the weight.

Def worth a try, ive fed it for years to various horses and never had any probs with weight gain. Good Luck!

I give it to my horse but it isn`t for the extra umph, if it is then it isn`t working.

But I was told to give it to her as it is iron and stuff and it puts oxygen into the blood which makes her go for longer without losing the edge - More stamina.

We found it super stuff for a mare that had cancer but was in foal. Although she continued to lose weight her coat was super shiny and I am sure it was the PP that helped her.
I think it may help your horse, so worth trying. At least you know then there is nothing lacking in his diet re vitamins or minerals.

Brilliant, thanks for your replies everyone! I think i'll get a month's supply and see how he goes with it.

Thanks again
