Proper Pictures of the Dizzy One - I think she's growing up...!

Wow what a difference! I imagine she must have been in quite a lot of pain before to look so poor! Poor girlie, but what a change!!!

We think it was the stress of going away for the investigations :(

I got her on the 20th December 2008 and on 1st January 2009 she was lame. A month or so later she was at Rossdales. The stable did not allow her to get her head out and I think she just got upset about it all. When she came back we moved yards four times in the year to try and get somewhere that had enough grass and turnout, as feeds weren't putting the weight on :(

In the middle of 2009 she went to the AHT for a week. Happier with the stabling there, but was very buzzy when she came back.

She's just a stress head and has to be handled firmly but kindly in all ways :)

Hey you should be more than quietly chuffed with the difference in her, she looks blooming marvellous compared to before, and I remember you posting them :( x

OMG! She does not look like the same horse. Much chunkier and really well covered. As the owner of a (previously) skinny ex-racer I can fully appreciate the amount of effort - and feed - that has gone into making that difference.

Well done you - you should give yourself a (((gentle))) pat on the back :D :D

P - ta hun :D. I didn't realise until I saw the pics in such proximity just what she's comes from. Obviously I knew, but to see it again after so many months of not looking at the old ones. Tears in my eyes for my lass.

C - thank you :D. Let's start a Our Horses Are No Longer Skinny! Club :D. Pats on all backs I think :D

MR - good plan :D. I do sing Saracens praises at every opportunity, so maybe I should :D

MrsM - she looks AMAZING!

Cant wait to come and meet you guys one day (i think me and D1 will get along grand :D), and also meet this fab little horse :)

yep shes really starting to look great - she looks more like a whole horse now - she has changed quite alot from some earlier photos (not the ones above)

Thank you :D.

Her bum is finally starting to look like it belongs to the front end, and her neck now looks like it can hold up her head :D

I can't wait 'till we can start work on bringing up her topline. She still has another year to mature (going by her half-brother and full-sister), so maybe this time next year she'll look like the horse she is going to be :)

Thank you TG :D. Yes definitely come up one day and meet The Hairy Gang (though you might find Dizz not so little at 16.3(and a bit)hh and still growing... :D :D).

I dont think my legs will come past the saddle flaps!

Would be lovely to meet you all :)

(Just promise not to laugh too much at me riding :D )

MrsM she looks extraordinary in those before and after pics. She seems to be thriving...even in the winter. So glad you've found a place where she's happy being out and filling out so well. Lucky her for finding you :) Here's to a good year for you both in 2011!

TF - thank you :D. I have to say it's also down to D, and D1 and D2, and my vet, and the nice people at Saracens :D. They've all put up with me and my rantings and my yelling "Not enough grass/turnout! We have to Move!!/Find different feed!!" :D
