Not sure if we are allowed to do this on here but ...... Tell us all about your absolute solid gold products that are well made, worth the money, reliable etc etc. Not sure how far we'll get before manufacturers start posting pretending to be your average horse owner.
I'll start by saying that the absolute best wellies I have ever bought are my Dublin neoprene lined ones - a fraction of the price of the upmarket ones at only £25, but really really comfortable and seem to be climate controlled (as neoprene should be), cool in summer and warm even in last winters snow. I have already bought a spare pair for when mine eventually wear out! Also I use soya oil in my boy's feed and it has given him amazing condition without fat.
How about your good products?

Sorry, maybe this thread was too boring? Just thought it would be good to get recommendations from people who actually use products and spend their hard-earned money on them. After all, none of us can afford to waste money!

I don't think it is boring. I am waiting with baited breath to see what comes up.
Think on the new forum things just slip so far down the pages so quickly people miss them!

Tesco value furniture polish instead of mane and tail conditioner is my suggestion for things that really work without the inflated horesy price!

No not boring, just trying to think of stuff :-)

Avon muck boot co wellies
All fuller fillies products - wish I could afford the new long riding boots and country boots
Westrop brushing/knee boots

Will av a think bout others

I bought AVON kids hair detangler, melon fragrance works bril and is bout £1.50 and he smells nice :-)

Woof mucker boots - still going strong 2 years later, keep your feet lovely and warm and v comfy

Horsewear rugs - lovely fit and quality. Worth the money

Sherwood forest products - great quality and well made. My mucking out jacket is heading into its 6th year and still looks ok after a good wash

Equitector boots - riding in freezing weather doesn't have to mean frozen feet

Beeswax furniture polish for reproofing rugs ;)
Mellow, 'happy pills' for cooperation
Equielements!! This stuff is truly amazing, had one pony with broken hock, slim chance of returning to full work, got a clear round in a hunter trial today :D Worm had pretty hefty hock surgery and we have had her on this. Surgeon said 12 weeks before return to work. She passed flexion tests on friday after seven and is now being walked under saddle :D:D:D
Shires TO rug, lasted years!! Never been reproofed, never let a drop in or got ripped.

I had a pair of those woof boots, can you still get them ? do you know where from please? they were brilliant

O that sounds nicer than pledge. Don't have an Avon rep here that I know of though. Someone at home will have to get it for me!

Check out their website, it may give you a rep in your area, what area are you in ? we've got loads of reps in Cardiff, my friend is one luckily :-)

See you have us all excited now !

I'm not sure Noisygirl, I haven't seen any at shows (where I do my shopping). Hope they haven't been discontinued, I would definitely buy another pair too

woof wear long boots, lovely and warm but not entirely waterproof when water splashes constantly up your leg! i've had mine for about 2yrs and they are still going strong!

baby oil (or the baby gel) is great and also can't beat a tub of sudocreme! ;)

Cowboy Magic Green stain remover.
Soft soap - gets white's, really white
Neue Schule bits
Macwet gloves for schooling, Roeckels for competing
Nettex Frog Health for keeping thrush at bay, and if things get a bit too far along, Nettex Hoof Master purple spray.
Baby wipes.
Supreme white spray for covering up the indelible yellow stains in a white tail.
Tailgator tailbags.
Ariat Telluride boots - warm when they need to be, and cool when needed.
Asda Men's shirts for showing. Chop the length of the body off, and the sleeves. £5 :D

Sure I'll think of some more :D

Thanks for all your posts so far - keep them coming!! Think I'll make a list of all the stuff, so pm me if you want one and I'll work out how to attach it to you. Also can some one knowledgeable tell me why there is a tick on the right hand side by my post title? Where can you find out about all the icons?

Thanks, there we go oldmare :-)

Also forgot to list earlier - baby oil in feathers is just as good but cheaper than proprietary 'mud away' products, and Musto Snugs jods with the fleece lining ( the dearer ones) are really really warm.

Lynn Russell surgical gel good for cuts but it makes hair grow back like you would never believe! Also Oster's mane and tail brush is for some reason so much more effective than any other...

Baby wipes (last min stable stains, gunky eyes, dock wipes, muzzle wipes etc!) always get unfragranced though!
Sudocreme - just fab for just about anything. Get a massive pot from the baby section.
Primark hair brushes and combs - usually two for £1, at least as good as horse mane and tail ones and heaps cheaper.
Value talc in the tail as a whitener.
A slosh of oil and vinegar (I don't use baby oil as it is fragranced) in a bucket of hot water for the best post clipping wipe down ever!
No need to pay extra for fancy fragranced oils or baby oil. Just get veggi oil from supermarket, much cheaper, good for pretty much anything and less liklihood of a reaction to it.
Old washing up brush for a bucket scrubber, or keep one handy for scrubbing muddy hooves.
Not exactly budget ones, but money well spent:
Down jacket for the winter - pricey but the best warm jacket I have ever had! Lovely and light and non-restrictive too.
Tay sport boots - the only thing I have found that actually keep my feet warm. Not just 'warm enough' either, but wonderfully toasty warm. Absolutly fantastic!!

Keep these coming! As I said, I'll make a list eventually if people want it. If possible, can you include manufacturer?
I think we should all have shares in Sudocrem and baby/veg oil!!!

Furminator brushes. They are quite expensive but much cheaper on ebay. No more endless days of trying to brush out loose hair, these brushes have it all out in one go. Brilliant on the huskies as well!

Rambo's well worth the money - go on forever
Ariat boots - so comfy - hard-wearing if looked after
Nuumed Halfwool Hi-wither Numnahs - easy clean, hard-wearing and truly hi-wither
Fungatrol shampoo to get mudfever scabs off.
Canter
Woof club boots - inexpensive, hardwearing and have no seams that rub
Love Macwets but they dont last - Roeckl do

Baby oil - brush tail out and apply, keeps it relatively tangle free and shiny!
Sudocrem
Vaseline
Effol hoof grease (the green stuff)
Le Chameau wellies
Mountain Horse Mountain Rider boots - had mine 6 years and they're still going!
Saxon rugs - I have a confirmed trasher, he had it over 5 years before he put a scratch on it.
Hibiscrub
Speedi-Beet - why oh why did I spend years soaking my beet pellets for 24 hours?!
Roeckl XC gloves, they grip forever.
1/2 rubber reins :)

Sorry, that ended up being a bit of an epic! There's probably more, I'll add them if I think of any.
