Proportions for making own fly repellant

Am going to make my own repellant using citronella, vinegar and water as read in Your Horse but can anybody help with the proportions, i.e. how much citronella & vinegar to water? Thank You, Jane

i use 50 drops of citronella have a bottle of vinger and a the rest water but that is for a bottle of a 1 litre in size!
