Pros & Cons of a full TB??

I have never owned a TB. Friends swear by them and one, an eventer, insisted there was nothing else she would ride.

However, whenever said friend and I were to meet for a hack, she would cry off as her beloved was on box-rest again receiving frequent and expensive visits from the vet!!!

We have four two stallion a mare and a yearling.
All have excellent feet and good temperaments and are very good doers.
One of my stallions lives on Happy hoof and Suregrow in the covering season he is such a good doer

I have an exracer and a particularly difficult one, we have had major ridden issues, but I don't believe this is because he is a TB it is down to his past life.

He is very sharp and intelligent (most probably more intelligent than me!)
I have the most incredible bond with him and he has a home for life whether we crack the ridden issues or not.

His feet are fab!!!!

With regards to his weight lots of good quality forage and a fibre based diet has dealt with his weight issue.

I love my Tb and I am looking at getting another.

I love TBs they are highly intelligent and sensitive, and there is nothing like a good gallop on one!!!! : )

This is my old full TB. He had raced (we were told) but you wouldn't think it. He was quite stocky, small, and had a very slow, powerful SJ canter. Most people assumed he was arab x WB as he had a fine, very dished 'pretty' head, but powerful muscles. He fit full everything, except bridle where he would take a mix of full and pony (especially around the nose).

He was *beautiful* and a very talented jumper (won PC area SJ, beating all the kids on their JB/JA ponies).

Saying that, I have seen some awful naggy type TBs, so you can't really generalise
