Prosorb or Prolite?

Ok fab that’s great to hear! By any chance did the shims in the Lemieux get squished over time or were they fine?
 
Personally much prefer the prolite. Think they keep their shape better, don’t get so squished, and are easier to use on numerous horses as they don’t shape to the horse. If that makes sense!

Ahh so the Lemieux do squish down do they? Bummer! I get discount for Lemieux but not for Prolite ?
 
Depends why you're using it, if it's for the horse then sheepskin has as much shock absorbency, wicks sweat and provides a more yielding surface for soft tissue expansion IMO. The Mattes shims are far more fine tunable, have no bounce, and no conundrum where the thick shim causes and edge but the thin shim isn't enough. Or, in other pads, soft foam that compresses way beyond being useful.

The mattes without sheepskin are double the price of the prolite etc, and the ones with are triple+! They are out of my budget
 
I've recently bought a Prolite with shims as it was cheaper secondhand than a Prosorb. They are both very similar but the only thing I don't like about the Prolite is that the shims are smaller than the inserts if that makes sense? So they could move around in there but maybe it's just mine somehow. Whereas when I had the Prosorb, the shims were the exact shape and size of the insert areas so they wouldn't move.

Ahh ok yeah! I prefer the shape of the prosorb, and those little loops at the front to stop anything moving about is a fab idea I think! I’m torn ?

I'd go with the Prosorb if I had the budget for either I think! The Prolite is nice but the shim thing annoys me and no good if they slip into different places and cause uneven pressure points!
 
I think they had 2 types of Prosorb pad. One squishy one less. I nought the squishy one, tried a few times girthed up but it was too bulky so sold it on eBay!

The polite 3 pocket pad is FAB. I even sold a 20 year old fixed Prolite on eBay to part fund the new one. It looked tatty on the cover but the polite itself was pretty perfect.
 
I've got the prolite three pocket one as well and it's been brilliant. I can't remember how old it is but it's done many years and many horses and is still going strong.
 
Thanks guys. I looked for the prosorb but it was sold out everywhere for the next couple of months so I went with the prolite ?
