Just so that i'm thinking in terms of todays prices

What would a good price be to offer for a
20yo Idxtb mare - light work?
(horse was originally bought for 750.00 at 11yo)

thanks.

I think whoever is selling her is a bit mean!

Value - not a lot.

its just a prospective - i used to own her years ago and was sold on to a home for life that turned out its not - at the moment i have her current owners details. And if(big if i'm aware of that ) the opportunity came up would love to have her back for the rest of her days - ideally the cost to me wouldn't matter but at the same time i wouldn't want to be fleeced for over the odds and was wondering what the current market price for a horse like her would be.

Thanks Amy May its an oil pastel copy of the yellow horses by Franz Marc - i liked his style of abstract and colours whilst studying at a levels

i would say 500 including tack should be fair. including all rugs etc then maybe 750/800. depends where you're based i suppose. if she was capable of more than light hacking then maybe a little more. i would hope to say free TBH.

i hope if it does go down that route that she will be a very lucky neddy and come back to you :s

I would like that she could come back and end her days with em - its been 7 years since i sold her and been in 3 homes since then - would have bought her back long ago if i knew was being passed pillar to post - took along time to track her down. Afaik she's not been ill at all in the time since being sold (and not a day sick with me either) and still at same work level - general riding and Rc activities - all depends on her current owner - i won't push for it but the offer will be made and up to them to consider. (i suppose a being a bit selfish here!) with winter coming up and feed/keep prices rising (and they have a few other younger horses that ride and drive) that might swing it. At the end of the day the worst that could happen is that they turn down selling her.
