Well my daughters 6 and in the past year her ridings come on sooo much espeacially since last may when we got this superstar pony, he really is her guardian angel pony!!!
Anyway shes been jumping a while but over the real teeny ones, shes going off the lead at shows now, but at home her confidence is going really high and so are the jumps!!! Not good for my heart!!!:eek:

The pic actually makes it look smaller than it is but he is only 11.2 with a 6 year old on!!

Thankyou, they make me very proud and i love the little pony for the way he looks after her.:)

Lila, you look at my old threads ive posted lots of piccies of them.:)

Such s good pair.
I fer your fear though!
My daughter is almost 3 and loves the horses so much. She was to ride and lead her pony around.

I'm looking forward but also scared about when she's bigger and wants to do more!

pleasant to see she has no intention of jabbing the pony in her mouth :) bless them both!

No chance of that, with her habit of having washing line reins, but when there learning to be honest id rather that than her jabbing him, hes so honest i wouldnt want that ruined!

I know ive been alright up untill now, butnow the jumps are beggining to grow the fear is starting to creep up. I now know how my parents felt when i was a teenager!!!:)

Hehe this reminds me of when my mum flipped when I told her that I jumped 4'6" on my 13.3 pony when I was 13 :D I think she almost fainted when I showed her that the pony could pretty much fit under the jump!
Well done for the little one! Just wait until she's at HOYS jumping the puissance ;)

I so feel for you my parents put me on horrible ponies and a few flighty but good ones, taught me to ride however my son doesnt really ride now but when he did even with my pretty good sec b pony i was a wreck.

I never know how my parents held thier nerve i couldnt, there was nine of us 7 boys 2 girls so maybe the more you have the less you worry you will always have a replacement i guess.

But i can understand where you are coming from i am fearless when i ride and was as a kid but i frankly felt sick when my son did .

I guess its a mothering thing but you just have to let go console yourself with the fact we were allowed to ride among some lovely ponies some real horrors and we survived to become good riders.

It is horrible but most of the time your child is loving it breathe deeply and it will help your child in the long run if only with confidence.

Being confident having fun mixing with new people commanding an animal and competing or being a good athelete can only help a child.

It is very scary but i guess we just have to let it happen.

I also love seeing updates of these two, she's a very lucky girl to have such a nice pony! I hope her confidence continues to grow :D
Can i ask how old is the pony and what did you pay (just being cheeky and wondering what a GOOD childs pony costs really) X

Yes she is soo lucky hes lovely and had a really horrid one on loan before him, she got thrown on the floor and stamped, thank god she had her body protector on.

Hes only just turned 7 which is amazing considering his behaviour, and he takes any situation in his stride. I actually loan him from a lady whos duaghter has no interest, but she just cant bear to sell!! But she paid 1600 for him but that was a few years back i could probaly double that TBH because his breeding is soo good, im starting out at county level showing with him soon. And also started pony club. But minus the bredding, i could probaly still get about 2500 easily round here. Ponies like him are golddust!!!

Shys mum, if you look at my previous threads ive posted quite a few picces and some not that long ago of her at a showjumping show!!!:)

What a cracking photo! Young riders seem to have an abundance of confidence don't they? Brilliant :) You will be watching her jump at POYS in no time :)

What a proud mummy you should be, they look really wonderful together and i'm sure will have a long list of successes. Your daughter is very lucky to have such a commited mum and a great friend in her pony xx
