My young (12yo) daughter took her new pony in to her first ever dressage test on sunday having only had the pony 1 week. Her previous pony was a 39 yo 12.2 ex riding school that was a real pony club kick along type that was happiest ploding along. New pony is very different.
So pround of her. Any listed judges out there, I would be interested in the mark you would have given her. Test is prelim 4 at un-affiliated.

Daughter is 12 and pony is 14'2 welsh D. Only dressage lesson she'd had previous to getting this pony was once on my wifes medium dressage pony when she ended up doing huge extended trot down the long side when she asked incorrectly for canter.
We had 2 evenings to practice before the day.

well all i can say is wow
what a lovely pony and your daughter is a very nice jockey
they look like they will have a lot of fun together if thats what they are producing so far !!!!
i felt choked after watching her too, bless ,so i can see you felt it too LOL...

That's a lovely pony that you've found there.........I'm sure they'll do really well together.

Your daughter has a lovely seat and a nice quiet way of riding. She now needs to work on bending the pony correctly but she'll find that easier when her legs get longer!!!!

Btw, I'm sure you won't, but DON'T cut his tail! M&Ms and dressage horses have long tails and it's not that long anyway!

Thanks for the lovely comments,
No way the tail will be cut as i have no say in the matter. Wife also has welsh D dressage pone with long tail.
Pony was a rare find and one of those moments that restore your faith in human nature.
Wife saw advert on internet but pony was way more that we could afford. However, advert said home more important than price so wife emailed them explaining our situation.....good home but broke!
The owners suggested we came up to see the pony anyway which we did. To cut a long story short my daughter fell in love with the pony, the owners fell in love with my daughter and offered us the pony on loan for as long as we wanted.
They have owned the pony from a yearling and done a super job with her.
She also jumps beautifully, will fly if you want her to but will also come in really steadily and do just enough to clear the fence. I gave my daughter her first proper jumping lesson last night. Her little face was beaming.

She is determined to do pairs SJ and XC with me this season.
Pony also hunts all day long in a snaffle. One in a million.
