12yo daughter was supposed to take her new pony to keysoe yesterday for their first dressage outing. We decided at the last minute that keysoe would probably blow his mind so my wife said she could take her dressage pony.
First test was interesting as wifes horse kept offering travare and did a lovely 20mtr circle in medium trot when daughter got the transition fto canter wrong but still managed 3rd out of 28 entrants.
Sorted out a few communication issues in the second warm up. This time daughter kept he body and legs a little more still and they did a lovely test (P7). Got a score of 65.3% and won the class out of 35 entrants.
Really proud of both daughter and horse. The little mare really looked after her. One in a million when you consider she normally consistently wins aff mediums with wife and is used to very precise weight and leg aids, not he pony club flap kicks that was all my daughter could manage as her kegs only just reached the bottom of the saddle cloth.
here's the vid of P7
